My mother-in-law gave this ironing board (and an iron) to Naomi on Friday.
She loves standing at it and ironing, and also carrying it around. I decided it needed a little something to make it cuter to look at, and more authentic, since my ironing board has a cover and slight padding. It dates to the 1950's, at least I think that is what I was told.
I used fusible fleece to give the top thickness, then sewed a hem around the edges to fit elastic through, I think it turned out really really cute! Projects like this are totally do-able since it took less than 20 minutes :)
Love the little Sears iron!
